A

1. Absorbency: A measure of what proportion  of water a cloth can absorb.

2. Acetate: Acetate may be a man-made fiber .

3. Acrylic: acrylic may be a synthetic polymer fiber that contains a minimum of 85% acrylonitrile.

4. Aida cloth: Aida may be a coarse open-weave fabric traditionally used for cross-stitch.

5. Alnage: Alnage is that the official supervision of the form and quality of manufactured woolen cloth.

6. Alpaca: Alpaca may be a name given to 2 distinct things:

a. The wool of the Peruvian alpaca.

b. a method of cloth originally made up of alpaca fiber but now frequently made up of an identical sort of fiber.

7. Angora: Angora refers to the hair of the Angora , or the material made up of Angora fur. (Fabric made up of Angora is mohair.)

8. Appliqué: Appliqué may be a sewing technique during which fabric shapes lace or trim, are sewn onto a foundation fabric to make designs.

9. Aramid: Aramid fiber may be a fire-resistant and powerful man-made fiber .

10. Argyle: An argyle pattern is one containing diamonds during a kind of diagonal checkerboard pattern.

11. Air Jet Spinning: It is a spinning system where  yarn is sorted by covering fibers around a core stream of fibers with compressed gas .

12. Air Permeability: The porosity, or the convenience with which air passes through material. Air Permeability determines such factors because the wind resistance of sailcloth, the air resistance of parachute cloth, and therefore the efficiency of varied sorts of air filtration media. it's also a measure of warmness or coolness of a cloth .

13. Alternating Twist: It  is a texturing procedure where S and Z twist are alternately inserted within the yarn with the help of special heating apparatus.

14. Aramid Fiber: It  is a man made  fiber .It's  fiber-forming material have a long chain synthetic polyamide which have minimum of 85% of its amide linkages (-NH-CO-) connected on to two aromatic rings.
