Objective of step cleaner machine:

1. Unfold and clean the cotton by the mash up of opposite spike action & the beating action.

2. To pull out the impurities such as leaves ,stalk, sand instead of damaging the fiber.

Main Parts & their functions:

1. Beater

2. Baffle Plate

3. Delivery Trunk

4. Guide Bars

5. Feed Trunk

Their functions:

1. Beater: There are six beaters,each beater consists of 26 teeth arranged in 4 rows.Each of the beater operates at the same r.p.m in the same direction. These beaters remove the dirts from fibers.

2. Feed Trunk: Cotton fiber enters into the step cleaner from the Bale Opener through the feed trunk.

3. Buffle Plate: Between two beaters there is one buffle plate.It monitors the flow of materials.

4. Grid bars: The trashes extracted from fiber by beating action fall into trash boxes through grid bars.

5. Delivery Trunk: Through this trunk, output of step cleaner is obtained.

   
   
   

Working Principle of Step Cleaner Machine:

At first, cleaned & opened tufts given input to Step Cleaner Machine by Feed Trunk.

Then the material goes to first beater roller where opening & cleaning is done with the help of spike ,then it goes to 2nd beater roller.Same process is done by six beater

Opening & cleaning is done step by step on Beater Rollers

At the time of opening & cleaning ,waste is produced .It is removed by triangular grid

Five buffle plate increases cleaning intensity by maintaining air flow.

And then impurities go to the wastage box. So,the output of the Step Cleaner Machine is ready to send the next process.
